COSAR is pleased to report we had the quietest long weekend in memory with only one call out Friday night. 

COSAR was called to assist Kelowna RCMP in locating a missing female with autism. She had wandered away from her camping site late Friday afternoon in the hills above Lake Country. COSAR Responded to the area with 14 members including our ATV/UTV teams and search dog team. While on route, we were informed that our missing female had been located in a business in Lake Country.

It was COSAR’s 56th task of 2024.

Search and Rescue services are free in BC and if someone goes missing, please call RCMP as soon as possible. They’ll get in touch with us.
