Last evening around 6:30 pm, COSAR was asked to extract a family of Dutch tourists who tried to follow Google maps from Penticton to Myra Canyon.

Their RV was unsuitable for the task but fortunately they found cell service and called for help.

Eight COSAR members responded and located the family near the Dog House snowmobile cabin.

They were escorted to the Myra FSR by 9:30pm

It was COSAR’s 51st task of 2024.
