EXTRACTION OF INJURED DIRT BIKER
Last evening around 7 p.m. COSAR was called to locate and extract an injured dirt biker from near Little White.
The female had crashed while riding singletrack and injured her leg bad enough that she was unable to ride or walk out.
COSAR dispatched a dozen volunteers, including our ATV, UTV and eBike team.
The eBike team made contact with the rider and her partners around 9 p.m. and administered first aid while the other teams prepared for extraction.
The subject was handed off to ambulance at 2:15 a.m. and taken to hospital.
“The group of 3 riders were well prepared, and able to communicate their location, keep their riding partner warm with a fire, and shelter her from the rain,” said search manager Rob Braun.
This was COSAR’s 69th callout of 2022.
