Last night COSAR honoured search manager Rob Braun with a BCSARA Challenge Coin in recognition of his contributions to SAR in the province. 

Rob is one of our more active members and, as well as running tasks, he is also on the swift water, rope, and snowmobile teams. 

Over his career, he has saved countless lives, and has seen tasks ranging from plane crashes, to missing children, to  recoveries, to finding missing hunters. He was also an active part of both the 2003 and 2023 wildfire evacuations in Kelowna. 

When he’s not on task, Rob works for Community Recreational Initiative Society (CRIS) as operations tech.
