Last evening COSAR was called to rescue six UTV riders in the hills above Peachland. The three side-by-sides had become stuck at the bottom of a gully and, after hours trying to get out, called 911 for help.

COSAR sent in an initial snowmobile team to assess the situation, followed by our tracked UTV. The stranded party had some medical concerns that elevated the urgency. They were transferred by snowmobile to the UTV and bought to the staging area on Brenda Mines Road.

It was COSAR’s fifth task in the last nine days and 18th of 2024.
