Busy Day for COSAR
March 2 was Search and Rescue Volunteer Memorial Day and it was a busy one for COSAR.
Snow Bikers Stuck in Ravine
Saturday before 6pm the Kelowna RCMP received an SOS call from a snow biker that had ridden into a ravine and had become stuck after damaging their snow bike.
Wrapping Up 2022
This past year was Central Okanagan Search and Rescue’s third busiest in its 68 year history. COSAR’s volunteers responded to 84 calls, down from 107 in 2021, and 86 in 2020.

Saturday afternoon COSAR was called out by BCEHS to assist in locating and evacuating an injured dirt bike rider from the trails above Bear Creek Main FSR.
